Transport of a 100-ton transformer to Ireland
We organized the transport of a 100-ton transformer from Dresden to Dublin for a customer.
Due to the dimensions and low water levels, the originally planned departure from Dresden's inland port could not be implemented. Instead, an alternative port was chosen where loading onto an inland vessel was possible. The transport then continued via waterways to Rotterdam, where the transformer was transferred to a RoRo ship. The final stage was by sea transport to Dublin.
Additional challenges arose due to last-minute requirements from the road authorities, which required rapid coordination and flexible adjustment of permits.
After a total of 26 days, the transformer safely reached its destination and could be installed directly on the foundation.
Thanks to careful planning, close cooperation with the authorities, and the support of our local partners, the project was completed successfully and on schedule – to the customer's complete satisfaction.
