SG Nonnenweier-Allmannsweier
Showdowns on the football pitch between FC Nonnenweier and VfR Allmannsweier used to be real local derbies. Both clubs look back on a tradition-rich past, with almost 160 years of football history between them. Today, the two clubs pursue their sporting goals together: in spring 2015, the clubs from the villages of Nonnenweier and Allmannsweier merged to form a club union.
Improved cooperation among the youths and seniors should create greater potential for sporting success to be worked towards together rather than against one another. In the 2015/16 season, three senior teams could be registered in SBFV leagues. They are currently playing in the district league A South, district league B VIII and district league C V. The two clubs also have a women’s team and six youth teams. The newly-established club union should particularly offer long-term prospects for the 90 youth players.
